Description |
1932 marked the first year for the twelve-cylinder powered Auburns. Of the 1,597 Auburn 12-160A automobiles produced in 1932, 820 were the custom sedan body style, or 51.3%. This 1932 Auburn was purchased new by Bill Schultz of Butternut, Wisconsin who owned it for 18 years. Then, Archie Becker owned it for 42 years, John V. Flannery for 16 years, Ron Thomas for 17 years, and finally the museum. Flannery restored the Auburn to its current display after decades of garage storage, heavily utilizing, photographing, and matching the museum’s original Auburn V-12 sedan as the basis of restoration. The paint scheme of the Saxon Grey body, Cedric Brown fenders, and Ravenswood Brown trim both matches the original V-12 and is the factory correct combination #2 for the 12-160A sedans. The Auburn displays a low 8,573 original miles.
