Year: 1926 Make: Cunningham Model: Sports Body type: Touring James Cunningham, Son and Company was an early leader in high-end, specialty horse-drawn carriages. Incorporated in Rochester, New York in 1886, Cunningham successfully made the transition into the horseless carriage era. From World War 1 and into the twenties, Cunningham was well-known for its outstanding coachwork and mechanical design and was an early proponent of the V-8 engine. Cunninghams of this period were among the most expensive cars produced, ranging from $5,000 to $9,000. Thier annual production rarely exceeded 350 cars. The Cunningham clientele included such film celebrities such as Harold Lloyd and Mary Pickford. The distinctively-shaped parking lights on the front fenders were a common feature of the Cunningham.
